In which G.M. Norton shows you what a Victorian fisherman and Marilyn Monroe have in common.
This week, I've been embarking on a fun little #dresslikeyouricon campaign with Samuel Windsor.
The basic premise was to dress like your favourite icon wearing something from Samuel Windsor. I was initially asked to just pick one icon, but not one for going in half cocked, I picked five. Starting on Monday, I then shared one each day on Instagram and the Twittering Device.
For each photo, I wore a couple of cable knit jumpers from Samuel Windsor.
You can take a look at the Twitter thread, but here are my different attempts.
Monday - Victorian fisherman
Tuesday - Elvis Presley
Wednesday - Steve McQueen
Thursday - Matthew Broderick
Friday - Marilyn Monroe
I do hope you think I captured spirit in each photograph.
Hopefully I've also demonstrated how thoroughly classic a cable knit sweater really is, with or without brassiere. Worn by all manner of people, it is an item that I'm pleased to have in my wardrobe (the sweater, not the borrowed bra).
Here's how I've worn one in a normal everyday ensemble.
Which look is your favourite?
