In which G.M. Norton celebrates National Bow Tie Day.
There are days dedicated for everything, but I couldn't ignore National Bow Tie Day, which is held every year on 28th August. As well as donning my favourite bow tie (and the first one I ever acquired), I thought it would be fun to show a few of my other bow tie ensembles to mark the occasion in style.
As you can see, the paisley really is quite a favourite. Also pictured is one made from waxed cotton, my polka dot Churchillian one and a couple of stripy numbers.
For bow ties, I recommend a Chinese seller on Messrs E & Bay. An old chum first alerted me to them and after trying them myself, I can confirm that not only are they enormously good value but they are good quality too.
